Karen Meyer

My name is Karen Meyer and I was born and raised in Madison. After spending 15 plus years in the retail industry working for Cincinnati based Federated Department store, Lazarus, and New York based, Macy’s East, I now own my own retail store, Sprouts, Children’s and Maternity Consignment shop in Madison.

I was hired as the Executive Director for the Madison Chamber of Commerce in the fall of 2008 and I am very excited about working with a strong Board of Directors. Our Board is made up of retailers, restaurateurs, doctors and other professionals. These individuals bring great value and opinion to the betterment of Madison businesses and the community. My energy partnered with my organizational skills and knowledge of the industry allows me to work in partnership with this group of individuals.

I look forward to aiding in the success of the many programs and events that the Chamber of Commerce has available to its Chamber members. I also look forward to the development of new programs for the future.

For as long as I can remember, Madison has been a small and unique town. The businesses support the community and the community supports its businesses. With tough economic times and with the introduction of the “Love Madison, Shop Madison” campaign we saw just how much the community supported its businesses. Madison is a strong community and I am proud to be part of it.
